Rigid-flex board is a combination of two very important printed circuit boards: rigid printed circuit board (hardboard) and flexible printed circuit board (FPC soft board), the English name is rigid-flex PCB. The circuits of the hardboard part and the flex board part are interconnected by plated through holes. Rigid-flex circuits offer a higher component density and better quality control. The design is rigid, requires extra support, and corners and areas that require extra space. The hardboard and the soft board are combined according to the relevant process requirements after the pressing process, and the circuit board with the characteristics of the FPC soft board and the hardboard PCB are formed.
